Love Story
How did you meet your significant other?
I was working for a local co-op and we did a test plot in one of his corn fields. We didn’t really talk that day but he then sent me a Facebook friend request and asked if I would like to grab dinner sometime… it took a little convincing but I’m so glad I finally decided to!
How did you get engaged? Who proposed to who?
We had bought a new Christmas tree for our first Christmas together. I was sitting at the kitchen island putting hooks on the new bulbs and he said he had some special ornaments he’d like to have put on the tree. He brings them out in packing paper and told me to take a look at them. It was a glass ornament that said “First Christmas Engaged” after realizing what it said I turn around and there he was with a ring!
Special Wedding Moments
What are your favorite memories from your wedding day?
Our ceremony and first dance we planned to do outside. Pop up storms were in the forecast. The rain held off for the ceremony and pictures but it started raining when it was time for our dance. We went ahead and danced in the rain and it was absolutely perfect!
Advice For Future Brides
What is one piece of advice you can offer to other brides that are starting their wedding dress shopping experience?
Be open minded when trying dresses on! I thought I knew the look I was going for but ended up falling in love with a totally different style.
